Pleasanton Rotary Community Service Project!

Pleasanton Rotary is seeking volunteers to support the City of Pleasanton’s newly approved Urban Forest Master Plan. The city has offered 100 free 5-gallon trees to local residents, and Pleasanton Rotary & PNR will be the volunteer group to plant trees for approximately 40 residents who are unable to do so. This event will take place on the weekend of November 8th and 9th, with flexible shifts available. Each tree planting is expected to take about 30 minutes, and I will divide volunteers into crews of 2-3 people. We need as much support as we can get, so please invite your friends, neighbors, family, and kids to join us in contributing to the long-term ecological health and beauty of our city! Get ready to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, because this is what volunteering is all about! According to the Urban Forest Master Plan, “Trees offer numerous environmental, social, and economic benefits, including providing shade and relief from hot weather, creating habitat for wildlife, improving air and water quality, enhancing mental health, supporting physically active communities, reducing energy costs, and increasing property values.”
